The World Wonder that epitomizes love is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best among Muslim
architecture and is a symbol of India’s rich history. The design traditions of earlier Mughal
architecture and Persian architecture is a strong influence in the design of this tomb. Inspired by Humayun’s tomb, Gur-e Amir the emperor went on to construct the Charbagh gardens and his own tomb Jama Masjid.

Agra Fort

The historical monument 2.5 kilometres away from the sister monument Taj Mahal was the main
residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty till 1638. There is a tower with a marble
balcony with a view of Taj mahal in Musamman Burj where it is rumoured that Shah Jahan died.

Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri

Akbar’s victory in the Gujarat campaign lead to renaming the city of Sikri to Fatehpur Sikri, the
walled city with the imperial palace. The city, with walls on three sides and bordered by a lake
on the fourth, sits on rocky ridges was built primarily to afford leisure and luxury to its famous
residents with compact and continuous patterns of gardens facilities and services.
